"Life Under" (Opportunity 4 Life) - Ukraine
Ukraine, an independent country as of only 19 years ago, is still suffering from post-Soviet syndrome, which involves immense social and political labor pains. There are children between the ages of 7 and 19 living on the streets ranges from 40,000 to 300,000.
Children are becoming orphans, drug addicts, prostitutes, criminals, and parents, to a new generation of dependents. The situation for Ukraine’s orphans is desperate, but not unique. It is estimated that there are 140 million homeless children worldwide.
